Great replacement filter for our Whirlpool fridge. We didn't have any problems with the installation, and water was clear after following flushing instructions.

Fits and works. No drips. When ordering, be sure to pay attention to the type your Whirlpool fridge requires - there are at least 4 distinct types (Type1, 2, 3, 4)... We have very pure well water that is tested annually - it is just like rainwater with minuscule minerals. But it might as well be extra safe. Using this filter is a bit on the expensive side

Awesome filter... am I really writing a review on a filter?? Yep, when the filter does its job perfectly. Replaced my filter today with the filter 4 and it is great. Water is clear, clean and tastes like it has no taste. Cold and clear water, just what my family needs. Be sure and install it fully (read your manual). I had a bit of air in the line so be ready for a minor explosion of air and a bit of water. Be sure and prime the filter clear by running an appropriate amount of water through the line. Unless you prefer milky colored water for your first few glasses you will understand my comment.

Very pricey but worth it.

These things are EXPENSIVE. BUT they do the job. My water is delicious, and I only have to replace it every few months. You can buy in packages larger than one and save a few dollars. But truly, you should replace your filter. Yes, you can go a little longer than is recommended, but I would say replace it every 6 months at LEAST. I really do notice the difference. My water is already pretty good up here in the mountains, but I prefer this filtered water.

Perfect fit replacement for the filter UKF8001. Water flow is much better. Wow! Very glad I did. The new filter replacement also removes more contaminants than my old one.

This filter replacement is a perfect filter for our 2012 side by side KitchenAid refrigerator. The old filter never removed the strong chlorine smell we have with our public water supply; this one did - that's one reason why I gave it 5 stars. Although the filter may seem expensive, I find the Clatterans price is better than other retailers who sell this filter. You can always buy several of them at once and save even more money.
