How to replace your filter

1.Locate the existing filter and remove it by turning it counter-clockwise as shown in the graphic
 
2.Holding the new filter in your hands, carefully remove the packaging and sanitary end-cap from the new filte
 
3.Locate the Start arrow found at the top of the instruction label on the back side of the filter. Align the Start arrow with the arrow on the refrigerator filter head
 
4.Apply slight upward pressure and rotate the filter clockwise until the Stop arrow on the front of the filter label is aligned with the arrow on the refrigerator filter head. Ensure that the filter is fully installed in refrigerator head using a full ¼ turn. This is required to activate the internal valve inside the refrigerator. If the filter is not turned a full 1/4 turn, the valve will not fully open and may cause the water flow to slow or even cause the valve to make a chattering noise during use
 
5.Dispense water into a glass looking for good water flow. If flow is slow, remove and reinstall the new filter insuring that the filter was inserted using a full ¼ turn.
NOTE: Initial Flow rate may be slower than expected. Full flow rate should be restored within 24-36 hour
 
6.Check the filter a final time for leaks
 
7 Reset the filter replacement indicator by holding down the Ice Type button and the Child Lock (or Moisture Control) button simultaneously for 3 seconds

    We've been using these filters since we got our fridge and our water tastes great. In Tucson we have pretty hard water and lots of chlorine out of the tap. The water from the fridge tastes and smells great! Never done any sort of analysis to confirm the effectiveness of the filter - taste and smell is good enough for us.

    The refrigerator water filter gets changed about twice a year. This is easy to install -- twist off the old one, twist on the new one, then have 2.5 gallons of water flow through.

    Much better price than what I've found where I live (in stores) and it's delivered to my door!     Best price we could find for our fridge's water filter. We don't change these religiously every 6 months, but since our area has extremely hard water, we still do change them 1-2x per year....as long as you twist until the click a pressure noise, installation is easy.

    These are perfect filters replacement for certain Samsung refrigerators. These work great and I replace them every 6 months. I've never had a problem with them and water always comes out tasting great. I don't take chances with generic filters, especially given how much water I drink.

    These are a terrific fit for the Samsung fridge. Tried the cheaper ones before, and they worked fine, but were very hard to get in and we immediately had an issue with the ice maker. In a pinch I'd buy the cheaper ones but if I have a choice these are better.

    How often should you replace your water filter?
     
    - On average, most filters last 6 months or 300 gallons depending on your water quality and usage.
     
    How do I turn off my filter light to reset?
     
    - If the filter light will not reset after following specific instructions from your owner manual, contact your refrigerator manufacturer.
     
    Do the gaskets (o-rings) on the filters need to be lubricated?
     
    - Most water filters come with pre-lubricated O-rings
     
    - If you are having trouble installing the filter, we have found that a small amount of vegetable oil applied to the O-ring will ease installation and removal of the filter.
     
    I just installed my filter; do I need to run water through it before I drink the water? If so, how much?
     
    - You should run 3 gallons of water through your filter in order to flush it and make sure that it is thoroughly wet. Do not run the 3 gallons continuously, instead run the water for a few minutes and stop in between. Get a gallon water container, and pour and refill 3 times!
