Much better water flow than the less expensive brand. Used on our Maytag. Helps to soak it in a pitcher of water to saturate the filter before installing. Only hesitation is the price. Glad I bought it.

This was a perfect fit for my Maytag refrigerator model. You can immediately taste the difference between the outgoing end of life filter and this new one. Highly recommend this filter if you hate the taste/smell of chlorine and other additives in your water.

I'm a water snob and this makes our water taste perfect! Our water dispenser started running really slow so I thought it could be from buildup in the filter. Sure enough that's what it was. As soon as I replaced it was back to the original water speed. Easy to change out. Will buy EDR4RXD1 again.

Wonderful water filter. I hadn't changed my water filter since I purchased the refrigerator back in 2009. I know, crazy. I'm not a water drinker and my wife drinks bottled water. I had noticed that the ice had an aftertaste. I thought it was from the food in the fridge. It wasn't until I started reading about the bacteria or metals in water that could cause bodily harm. After doing a lot of reading and comparison shopping on water filters, I found the perfect filter here on Clatterans. Within several days, I tasted a noticeable difference in my ice. It no longer had that aftertaste or smell. I am very pleased and feel healthier. Great filter and the price is just right.

Awesome Magtag UKF 8001 filter... am I really writing a review on a filter? Yep, when the filter does its job perfectly. Tried the cheaper ones and something didn't taste right. Replaced my filter today with this and it's great. Water is clear, clean and does taste like it has no taste. Cold and clear water, just what my family needs.

These Whirlpool EDR4RXD1 are EXPENSIVE... BUT they do the job. My water is delicious, and I only have to replace it every few months. You can buy in packages larger than one and save a few dollars. But truly, you should replace you filter. Yes, you can go a little longer than is recommended, but I would say replace it every 6 months at LEAST. I really do notice the difference. My water is already pretty good up here in the mountains, but I prefer this filtered water. In fact, I think this tastes better or similar to Brita filtered water.
