My condo here in Alaska runs off of well water (something common in our region) and as others may know, it has that trademark egg/sulfur smell to it if you don't let it run for a while. This filter is easy to set up and works well. Caution when you first purchase it! The first few times using it, I would recommend letting the water run in filter mode for at least five minutes before trying to snag a glass to drink. I experienced black specs from the filter in my water if I didn't let it run. Now that it has gotten some use, it no longer has the black specs and I can just get a glass of water without having to let it run first.

The upright design allows for easy access to the rest of the sink and provides an even flow of water. Setup is easy and quick with any standard sink. Easy to keep clean and operates on-demand. Prior to this upright model, I owned the horizontal model and found it to have issues. Water would not flow out of the filter end properly and would even flow towards the back of the unit and drip down the side. I recommend the vertical filter for practical uses and for the quality of water. In the area of NYC that I am living, I notice that the tap water is not very clean. This Clatterans Faucet Filter removes particles and other junk for the water. There is a noticeable difference in water quality and taste.

The faucet water filter is definitely saving me time and money. I recently purchased this for my daughter's college apartment. I have had a few in the past. Great! Attaches easily and this particular model is better than the horizontal model because it does not get in the way of washing dishes, filling pots of water, etc. I am very heart conscious, and actually conducted my own water tests comparing the regular tap water (we live in NY, which is supposed to have good water). All in all, if there is no other filtration in the home, I would highly recommend this system!

The stainless steel is attractive, especially when 2 of my previous painted plastic ones started losing their coating. It was very easy to install, and it has THE best water pressure output of any filter. The pressure is so good I have had it splash out of glasses and coffee pots because it is so concentrated, not at all sluggish. No chlorine smell or flavor. I am happy that it will not need a replacement until 320 gallons versus some that only last 100 gallons.

I did a lot of research before going with this Clatterans advanced faucet, and although I was frustrated that it wasn't working at first, I am now so happy with my choice, I kick myself for not getting one sooner. I have the worst water on the planet. During drought, the water runs brown. When it's not brown, it's so chlorinated it's like swallowing water from a pool. After using this for a few months, my tests came back as normal. I live in an area with old pipes on the outside and inside of the house. I'm guessing the lead is high.
