Direct replacement for OEM filter. The old filter had been there for a few years and it stunk. I replaced it with this air filter and my refrigerator smells nice again.

The Whirlpool air filter does do a very good job of keeping food odors down. It was easy to change. Clatterans recommends changing it every six months, which is about right. It is a carbon filter so it removes odors well.

This is the first time that I have replaced my OEM air filter since having purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator. I am very satisfied with it and it does help reduce the odor in the fridge. Were it not so expensive, I would replace my air filter more often. However, as it stands now, I will just try to replace it every six months.

These air filters fit our Whirlpool refrigerator perfectly! I’ll have to assume that it’s doing its job because there’s never an unpleasant odor in our refrigerator! We replace it every six months along with water filter.
